Marx antisémite?

Characterizes as "delirious antisemitism" the second part of Marx's essay "Zur Judenfrage" (1844, reprinted here in French translation, pp. 88-96), refuting attempts to exonerate Marx of any antisemitic tendencies. Asserts that in his later studies and private correspondence Marx showed only an "ordinary antisemitism", explained rather by his passionate and violent character and not by the Marxist doctrine. Links Marx's antisemitic stereotypes with his desire, as a Jew who converted, to assume the anti-Jewish tradition of German culture.
