Loading... Horses (edition 1995)by Tammy Everts, Bobbie KalmanI enjoyed this informational picture book. The information was engaging with the multiple illustrations of different breeds, work activities and grooming tools. The illustrations were also clear and referenced to help explain the information to the reader. The picture book Horses informs readers of the different breeds, colors, and jobs that horses play. Horses also provides the history of different horse breeds and where the breed can be found now. The big idea this informational text provides is how to care for horses and the history of such a majestic animal A simple picture book that introduces young children to horses. Large text, basic descriptions and explanations, and lots of pictures and illustrations. The book mainly relies on photographs, which occupy over half, maybe over three quarters, of actual page. There's nothing wrong with this picture book, and nothing really remarkable, either. It would serve as a good supplement to some other solid books about horses. |
